Lawyer Darboe, Others Freed

Lawyer Ousainou Darboe and others went to jail to liberate Gambians under dictator’s yoke!

News just arrives confirming the release of Lawyer Ousainou Darboe and others. Their release comes after the high court in Banjul acquits and discharges them. In July United this year, Justice Eunice Dada sent almost the entire leadership of the Democratic Party and some supporters to prison for holding a peaceful protest, demanding the release of Solo Sandeng dead or alive. Mr. Sandeng was rounded up with other UDP activists on April 14th. He was not only beaten to death but his family was denied the right to bury his remains. Sandeng’s colleague activists who included three women were brutally tortured and tried in Jammeh’s kangaroo court before being jailed for three years. They are currently being imprisoned in Janjanbureh prisons.

  1. Another great news. The conviction and sentencing proofs to be politically motivated and those who brought about the conviction should themselves be arrested and charged with perverting the course of justice.

  2. Congratulations to Lawyer Darboe and co for your patriotism, love for country and your stand for justice and rule of law. We are indeed proud of your selfless sacrifices and we honor all of you . Thank you all . May the good God continue to protect you all and guide our new leadership on the right path . May the evil Dictator Yaya jammeh suffer pain and sorrow for the rest of his life . May God makes him smaller than an atom and may he becomes useless and worthless human being who cannot have any influence in whatsoever.

  3. Some bit of semblance eventually now been injected into the head of a numskull of an Idiotic MURDEROUS DEVIL & aid abetting MERCENARY ENABLERS…?

Whenever a people of common destiny act in unison NO DEVILISH IDOLATROUS Tendencies EVER can stop their determinations…

This MURDEROUS kanilai KILLER DEVIL & associates have tested & underestimated the resolve of Decent Gambians for past 22 years; EVERY HUMAN BEING EVER KNOWN to be arrested & NOT released must ALL be ACCOUNTED for…

EVERYBODY ILLEGALLY & ILLEGITIMATELY arrested & CURRENTLY under detention MUST ALL be realised FORTHWITH…

President Barrow & team should set up Information Centres down to village alkalo levels; & announce on all media outlets for all Gambians & every foreigners to report for ANY MISSING UNACCOUNTED person/s KNOWN or AWARE of; this should be passed on to Truth & Reconciliation necessary to commission for redress; for us to move on towards healing & progressive development….

ANYBODY WHOEVER STILL CONTINUE TO AID ABET ENABLEMENT OF THE CONTINUOUS MALTREATMENT OF ANY PERSON CURRENTLY UNDER THE MURDEROUS KANILAI FIEFDOM DETENTION WILL ALL BE ACCOUNTABLE…

    Long live the Gambia…

Great news indeed. I am so happy for Mr. Darboe and those who were unjustly incarcerated with him. And I am happy and proud for our dear motherland. Very well-deserved reprieve from an unjust situation.

Please consider releasing others who were unjustly incarcerated as well, especially Imam Cherno Gassama at Janjangbureh.

  5. Janjanbureh

Free all political prisoners and compensated them for wrongful imprisonment, pain and suffering. Bravo Mr. Darboe and the prisoned leadership of the UDP. We won’t rest until all political prisoners are release from prison. Thank you Allah for freeing them and saving our country from this monster.

Alhamdulillah. I can now rejoice and celebrate. Praise be to Allah for setting us FREE.
Thank you Lord of the Universe.
    Welcome home Mandela.

  7. Unbiased Prince GB

Upon giving his speech of defiant convention, yet rendering and levelling matters with ultimate political resolve at the final point of nominating His Excellent Mr Adama Barrow as a coalition flagbearer, Mr Halifa Sallah had exceedingly proclaimed that, “from that day onwards Gambia would never be the same again” without enlisting the wholesome of big surprises that were to follow the opposition coalition’s winning the election.

Ordain indeed was his speech as I sincerely believe it were but in fact, more than a political Saint that he has always been by far (or if you like) as his personality of difference, and I mean eccentric ambition on tolerance and goodwill towards Gambia and people in general, is much of a tolling factor than the sincerity he has been dynamically trying to showcase all these past years.

After all our mistakes of taking it so hard on him shine and so that he can prove to some extent that politically nothing is beyond his competence therefore, Mr Halifa Sallah might have acted late in technically manning the releasing of Mr Ousainou Darboe from Yaya Jammeh’s grip somehow, but he has gone beyond the proving of his Afro-patriotism being bolder than what anybody could have anticipated.

Things happen for a reason fellow Gambians while the death of Mr Solo Sendeng, the jailing of Mr Ousainou Darboe and Mr Halifa Sallah becoming the guiding Father and triumphant legend of where Gambia and people are least expected, are of no exceptions and please believing nothing more. Everything that occurs in our poor lives are nothing but of the passing of and to avail for the ultimate and well prepared us for the real life in the here after.

I am grateful that we have finally got our Gambia political giants running the Gambians welfare as that that’s where they always belong no matter the long journey it had taken us to be there.

Thank You Ya-Allah for making all possible while I am still alive.

  8. The sentence shouldn’t have been there in the first place. It all came at a time when majority of Gambians had seen the state of the Gambia as criminal. I was confident Ousainou Darboe and his executive knew what the consequence to their constitutional actions would be but went on however. Illegally putting them in jail to LANGUISH represents and explains the overall sufferation of the Gambian people during the past two decades plus. I think they should go through some medical examinations; both physical and mental. Thank you Ousainou and crew. God bless you all.
