jammehKairo News sources have confirmed the closure of the Gambia’s sea and airport. Businesses and government departments have all closed. This development comes in the wake of what had been termed a coup attempt in the country.

Kairo News is engaging its sources to get to the bottom of what exactly has happened in the Gambia. Our sources hinted one Lt. Col. Lamin Sanneh, the former State Guard Commander, as the leader of the coup. It was not confirmed how many people might have died or injured in the shake up, though unconfirmed reports put the figure at five.

President Yahya Jammeh is currently out of the country. It is not clear who is in charge of the country right.
