Bensouda Tops Kenya's Hate List

bensoudaFatou Bensouda’s defiance to prosecute President Uhuru Kenyatta has earned her the title of being the most hated person in Kenya.

Bensouda’s name emerges on top of ten most popular hated women in the East African nation. The Special Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is hated for her relentless push to jail President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for their alleged roles in Kenya’s deadly 2007 post-election violence.

The list, published by Kenyan media, includes Maria Mabinti Kamara, the ICC Outreach Cordinator for Kenya. Find below the full list:

  1. Fatou Bensouda – ICC Prosecutor

  2. Angela Ambitho – Infotrack Harris Founder

  3. Martha Karua – Narc Kenya Chairperson

  4. Gladwell Otieno – Founder AFRIGOG

  5. Caroline Mutoko- Kiss 100, Radio Presenter.

  6. Njoki Chege – Daily Nation columnist.

  7. Atsango Chesoni – KNHCR commissioner

  8. Millie Odhiambo – Mbita MP.

  9. Maria Mabinti Kamara – ICC Outreach Cordinator Kenya.

  10. Ciku Muiruri – former Radio presenter.

Women’s rights activists would not understand why these popular women have been singled out for causing “discomfort in Kenya.” They describe it as an “escalation of discrimination against women because it takes men and women to make or destroy a society.”

Mrs. Bensouda is loved by those who want to see justice being done about a violence that left more than 1,500 people dead and tens of thousands displaced. Whatever the case, Bensouda continues to be a household name in Kenya, especially when she summoned President Kenyatta for a status conference at The Hague in Netherlands last week. In the words of Kenya’s award-winning citizen TV journalist, Bensouda has not still seen the light and therefore needs guidance.  Julie Gichuru shared a twitter video of President Kenyatta in 2007 urging the Kikuyu community to avoid violence and remain calm, despite the sorry state of the country.

Mrs. Gichuru, who prays for Bensouda to see the light of truth, said it is an irony for Kenyatta to be at the forefront of preaching peace and harmony and at the same time fanning flames of violence. She asked Kenyans to help interpret President Kenyatta’s video address (in Kikuyu language) for Mrs. Bensouda so she can cease her fruitless exercise.

Ha! Ha! Ha! What is wrong with these Uhuru Fans? Bensouda was the best friend they had to win Kenya’s election last time and Bensouda will be their best card to win the next election too. They should LOVE Fatou!
